MARCH MEETING

PROGRAM

Anna-Marie DeSouza will be presenting and discussing a movie made at the Gulf Islands Film and Television School (GIFTS)

 

We will be screening entries in the Annual Contest and movies from "Dave's Shoebox"

THE NEXT EXECUTIVE MEETING - will be held on Monday, April 2 at 7:00pm at the home of Sheila Perkins.

OUR ANNUAL BANQUET WILL BE HELD ON SUNDAY March 18, at the Holiday Inn, 3020 Blanshard Street. Reception will be at 12:30 and dinner at 1:00 p.m. Tickets are $24 per person.

OUR GUEST SPEAKER - is Anne-Marie DeSouza, an assistant producer at Cedarwood Video Editing and Production. Anne-Marie attended the Gulf Islands Film and Television School (GIFTS) this summer in the 'media intensive program' and will be telling us about this experience and presenting the movie that was completed by her team. She will also telling about her work at Cedarwood, and some of their projects.

THE GOODIES for the March meeting will be provided by Margaret Chamberlain.

THE ASSIGNED SUBJECT CONTEST deadline will be the April 24 meeting. The topic is "Windows and Doors." It may be up to four minutes long, including titles and credits. You may enter as many videos as you wish.

THE ONE MINUTE CONTEST deadline is the May 29 meeting. Your videos may be on any subject but they must be no longer than one minute in length, including titles and credits. There is no limit to the number of entries you may submit and you may put more than on video on a video cassette or DVD disc (in this contest only).  Contest Rules.

THE SOCIETY of CANADIAN CINE AMATEURS' (SCCA) ASSIGNED SUBJECT CONTEST topic this year is: "Your Call is Important to Us." The deadline is June 1. Our club members are eligible to enter this contest as groups or individuals.
