  • The videos entered in our "Song Title Contest" will be shown and the judging comments discussed.
  • We will also see the entries from the "Magic Moments" contest, which was held in California.

OUR NEXT EXECUTIVE MEETING will be held on Tuesday, November 25, at 6:30 p.m. at St. George's Church Hall, prior to the general meeting.

THE TEN MINUTE CONTEST deadline is the November 25 meeting. In this contest, you may choose what ever topic you wish, and enter as many videos as you like. Your productions may be up to ten minutes in length (including all titles and credits).

OUR CLUB CHRISTMAS DINNER will be held at the Princess Mary Restaurant, 358 Harbour Road, on Friday, December 5th. Reception is at 6:00 and dinner will be served at 6:30. If you are going to attend, contact Margaret no later than December 2nd. We must let them know by then how many will be attending.

THE ANNUAL CONTEST DEADLINE is the January 27 meeting. In this contest, your entries may be on any subject and up to fifteen minutes in length. There are three: Novice, Intermediate and Open. You may enter an many videos as you wish. Refer to your "Contest Rules" sheet for qualification.

THE ASSIGNED SUBJECT CONTEST deadline will be the meeting in April. The topic this year will be "Signs."

IN THE AMMA INTERNATIONAL MOVIE CONTEST, "Zoo Clips" by Eleanor Haire was chosen as one of "The Ten Best Movies" and "My Favourite Town" by David Fuller received "Honorable Mention." "My Favourite Town" also received the award for "Best Sound." At the California convention, Margaret Chamberlain won third place in the new "Two Minute Edited in the Camera Contest." The topic was "Independance Hall."

IN THE TEN BEST OF THE WEST CONTEST, "Autumn Splendor" by Eleanor Haire and "My Favourite Town" by David Fuller, won Ten Best of the West Awards (meaning that their videos were among the top ten entered in the contest).

Bring along a guest to the meeting. Visitors are always welcome.
