Dave will make a presentation about Walt Gilmore's plan for How to Shoot Video on Vacation - WALLDO. This will be followed by a pair of DVDs illustrating the concept; which will be followed by a handout and Q. & A. This will be followed by volunteer members actually shooting mock-up scenes with a camera, e.g. tracking shots and trucking shots through/past a group of "tourists" (members).


We will show a portion of the Sydney (Australia) Club's 2003 video compilation and write comments.

OUR NEXT EXECUTIVE MEETING: will be held on Tuesday, November 30, at 2:45 p.m. at the home of Margaret Chamberlain.

THE TEN MINUTE CONTEST deadline is the November 30 meeting. In this contest, you may choose whatever topic you wish and enter as many videos as you like. Your productions may be up to ten minutes in length (including all titles and credits).

MARGARET'S CHRISTMAS PARTY will be held on Sunday December 3, from 3:00 pm to 9 pm at the Falcon Ridge Estates, 901 Kentwood Lane. This will be a pot luck supper. Please bring your own drinks, dishes and cutlery. Tea and coffee will be supplied. Bring ideas for your contribution to the next meeting. We will make a list to ensure a variety of food.

THE ANNUAL CONTEST DEADLINE is the January 25 meeting. In this contest, your entries may be on any subject and up to fifteen minutes in length. There are three classes: Novice, Intermediate, and Open. You may enter as many videos as you wish. Refer to your "Contest Rules" sheet for qualifications.

OUR ANNUAL BANQUET will be held on Sunday, March 6, 12:00 noon, at the Holiday Inn, 3020 Blanshard. We willb e having a buffet. The menu is: Green Salad, Multigrain Dinner Rolls, Hot Seasoned Vegetables, Lemon Herb Chicken with Rice, Assorted Sweets and Squares, Coffee and Tea. The ticket price will be announced at the November meeting.

THE ASSIGNED SUBJECT CONTEST deadline will be the April 26 meeting. The topic will be "Smiles".

DVD TRANSFERS - Boris Andulajervic will do transfers from 8mm, Hi8mm, VHS & Beta. Also, slide shows can be copied. Prices are $25.00 for the first hour and $35 anytime after the first hour. Phone 544-8028 or e-mail
