APRIL MEETING

PROGRAM

OUR GUEST SPEAKER will be Dan Curtis, who will be discussing and sharing his experiences on creating people's life stories on video with examples of his work.

Dan is an award-winning documentary filmmaker, who is now using his twenty+ years of experience as a filmmaker, researcher, writer, and interviewer to help people tell the stories of their lives. He conducts workshops at the Monterey Centre (1442 Monterey Ave.) in Oak Bay, on "Writing an Ethical Will", as well as "How to Conduct Video or Audio Interviews That Capture A Loved One's Life Story". OUR NEXT EXECUTIVE MEETING will be held on Tuesday, May 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the home of Virginia and Len Thomas.

THE ASSIGNED SUBJECT CONTEST deadline will be the April 26 meeting. The topic is "Smiles." Your entries may be up to four minutes long, including titles and credits. There is no limit to the number of videos that you may enter.

THE ONE MINUTE CONTEST deadline is the May 31 meeting. In this contest, your videos may be on any subject. They may be a maximum of one minute in length, including titles and credits. You may enter as many videos as you please. In this contest only, you are permitted to put more than one video on the same tape.

CLUB PICNIC - do we wish to have a picnic this summer? Where would you like to go? Bring your ideas to the meeting. Margaret has invited us to Shoregrove Campsite (6990 Diskinson Rd.) in Lantzville where she has her trailer.
