Bulletin Vol 65 No 5

FEBRUARY MEETING

TIME       12:30 p.m.

 

PROGRAM - OUR ANNUAL AWARDS BANQUET

We will be having a buffet. The menu will be Green Salad, Multigrain Dinner Rolls, Hot Seasoned Vegetables, Lemon Herb Chicken with Rice, Assorted Sweets and Squares, Coffee and Tea.

We will have LUCKY NUMBER DRAWS throughout the evening. VIDEOS enetered in the Annual Contest and the winners from the Club's other contests will be shown. The winners of the contests will be presented their awards.

Tickets are $23.00 per person. If you have not yet purchased yours, please mail or deliver your cheque (payable to the "Victoria Video Club") to Michael Veronneau, 404-510 Marsett Place, Victoria, B.C. V8Z 7J1. It must be received no later than February 26, as we need to know by that date how many people will be coming. You may bring as many guests as you wish.

OUR NEXT EXECUTIVE MEETING - will be held on Monday, March 13, at 7:00pm at the home of Donna and Glen Downey.

THE "GOODIES" for the March meeting's refreshments will be provided by Margaret Chamberlain.

THE ASSIGNED SUBJECT CONTEST deadline is the April 26 meeting. This year the topic will be "Wind." If may be up to four minutes long, including titles and credits. You may enter as many videos as you wish.

THE ONE MINUTE CONTEST deadline is the May 30 meeting. In this contest, your videos may be on any subject but they must be no longer than one minute in length, including titles and credits. There is no limit to the number of entries you may submit and you may put more than one entry on a video cassette or DVD disk (in this contest only).

THE SCCA'S ASSIGNED SUBJECT CONTEST topic this year is "It's in the Bag." The deadline is June 1. Club members are eligible to enter this contest as groups or individuals.

NEW BOOKS IN CLUB LIBRARY - We have eleven new digital video books in our library. If you are interested in borrowing any of them, please contact Sheila.

VISITORS are always welcome at our meetings. Bring along a friend.
