PROTECTING YOUR VIDEO TAPES
With proper care your video tapes can last a very long time. To keep tapes safe
from smoke, dust and dirt, you should always keep them in their cardboard sleeves. Always store them upright, not flat
on their sides, as this puts pressure on the edges. Keep them away from all magnetic sources (TV, speakers, etc.). However,
it takes a strong magnetic field to erase a tape. Don't expose them to direct sunlight or leave in a hot car. Run tapes Fast
Forward and Rewind once year to prevent setting. Limit the use of Pause and Freeze Frame, as this increases wear on the tape
and VCR heads.
See you at the meeting. Bring along a friend; visitors are always
